Atlanta is the capital of the American State of Georgia. It’s a growing and prosperous city home to Coca-Cola, CNN, and Delta Airlines. But in March 2005, this booming metropolis went into lockdown. People were afraid. They hurried home and stayed behind locked doors. Atlanta’s courtroom killer, Brian Nichols, was on the loose. Desperate, heavily armed and with nothing to lose, he took a young woman, Ashley Smith, hostage. However, during this hostage situation, Ashley managed to persuade Brian Nichols to surrender to the police. Nichols called Ashley “an angel sent from God,” but ironically, Ashley’s past allowed her to convince him to face justice.
