In 1632 calamity struck the small town of Oberammergau in Germany’s Bavarian Alps. Ravaged by Bubonic Plague, over a quarter of its inhabitants had died before desperate civic leaders made a remarkable covenant with God. Legend has it that from that day in October 1633, not one additional infection or death occurred!
