In Battle Creek, Michigan stands a restored old settlement which once provided refuge and a new start to runaway slaves, men and women fleeing sometimes unimaginable cruelty. Many made their escape via perilous journeys northward – their only hope of freedom. Along the way, they utilised what came to be known as the Underground Railroad.
Join us as we learn about the ‘station masters’ and ‘conductors’ who risked their own safety and livelihoods to provide safe havens for these escapees. You’ll discover why slavery affects all of us, not just the obvious victims, and how only the Bible offers true freedom!
